About

What: The 2nd annual Water Research Symposium at Oregon State University (formerly called Water Day) is a one-day conference that will highlight the variety of outstanding research projects being conducted by students at Oregon State University and other regional universities in the fields of water resources science, engineering, policy, and management.  There will be oral presentations, video presentations, and a poster session, as well as a networking reception.  Students will present proposed, ongoing, and completed research.  This will be the single greatest opportunity of the year for exchange of knowledge and ideas among students in western Oregon working in the water resources field. When and Where: The symposium will be held on May 18, 2012 in the Memorial Union building on the Oregon State University campus, rooms 211, 212, and 213, from 8:00am to 5:00pm with an evening social to follow.

Who: Anyone in the Willamette Valley region who has an interest in water resources and the outstanding research being done by graduate students from the region's universities is encouraged to attend. We especially encourage local water professionals to attend the poster session and networking reception. Registration is free and includes access to all the presentations and activities associated with the symposium. In addition, students are invited to submit abstracts for presenting their research. Registration and Abstract Submission:

The period for abstract submissions has now closed.  Click here to view the schedule for the 2012 Water Research Symposium.  If you are not a student, or are a student not interested in presenting, and you plan to attend all or part of the Water Research Symposium, please take a moment to register using the registration link below, so that we can plan accordingly for food and space.  Presenters who submit abstracts do not need to register.  Light breakfast foods and coffee will be provided throughout the morning, followed by lunch, and light foods and drinks for the evening social.
