Tutoring 

Fall 2015:

Tutoring Strength of Materials (ENGR213) on Thursdays from 6pm - 7:30pm in Rogers 440.

Tutoring Statics (ENGR211) on Wednesdays from 6pm - 7:30pm in Rogers 440.

Students in SOM and Statics: come to us with your questions about material in lecture or homework!

We specialize in tutoring students with the following sophomore level classes : ENGR 211, ENGR 212, and ENGR 213. The class(es) tutored vary by term.

PTS Members: At our first meeting of each term our officers will have a sign up roster for volunteer tutoring times. Remember, we require that you participlate in at least one activity per term to maintain active membership. 

Habitat for Humanity Work Day

Members: On Saturday 11/14 or 11/21 (depending on availability - see email 10-19-15 for link to sign up sheet) PTS will volunteer their time with Benton County Habitat for Humanity building a home for a family in our community.

MIME Awards Banquet

Every winter, Pi Tau Sigma organizes the MIME Awards Banquet to honor the dedicated faculty and students that make OSU a great place to learn. The 2015 ceremony took place on March 13th in the Memorial Union Ballroom. Dr. Squires and Dr. Vergara were awarded outstanding MIME faculty in IME and ME, respecively. Aimee Glenn and Daniel Miller were awarded Outstanding Student of the Year for IME and ME, respectively. Congratulations to them all.

Key Polishing

When the PTS bronze keys arrive around Week 6, you will be presented with your key, which is rough from casting. It is your duty to do the primary sanding before we meet as a group to do final polishing of our keys. 

Elections

Elections will be held toward the end of Fall Term for President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Date TBD.

Ideas 

Let us know at the next meeting if there is a fun social event you'd like to see happen. Members are always welcome to help organize events with the support of PTS officers. We are very open to ideas and encourage enthusiasm for group events or programs. Ideas being thrown around currently: raquetball ladder competition, frisbee golf, bowling night, midnight breakfast during dead week, restoration of Caliper Lounge...etc. Interested? Let us know!
