Kappa Chapter herstory

Gamma Alpha Omega Sorority, Inc. Kappa Chapter at Oregon State University was
founded on April 29th, 2000 which was at the time the first and only Latina based sorority in the state of Oregon.
It began by a group of young women interested in finding a group that had sense of belonging and a strong sisterhood; a place that felt like home.  Cerise Barton, from the University of Washington Gamma Chapter, came to Oregon State University on exchange with the desire to find women on the OSU campus that were interested in the sisterhood that she already had found.
Through much hard work ten ladies came together to begin the dream.
