Sunday November 4, 2018
A fantastic opportunity for OSU students and their families to come learn how to safely and accurately use a pistol!
No prior experience is necessary, all equipment provided.

What: Pistol safety training and orientation will last approximately 1 hour, with self-paced (supervised) live fire practice time to follow. Range officers will be on hand both for safety, and for help and instruction throughout the live fire practice. Closed toed shoes and photo ID required (OSU ID required for OSU students). The safety training is mandatory for all participants regardless of previous experience.
This is a fundraiser event for OSU Pistol Club and Pistol Team.

Who: This event is open to all OSU students, faculty, staff and their families. The general public may also participate.

Where: This event will be held on campus at the OSU Anderson & Keeling Memorial Target Range. The range entrance is located on the south-east corner of McAlexander Fieldhouse past the first chain-link fence, it is not part of the main fieldhouse (look for the signs around the vicinity of McAlexander Fieldhouse pointing you to the entrance of the target range). There is also a map to the range on the front of the OSU Pistol Club webpage (link below).

Equipment: All safety gear and equipment is provided, including pistols (.22LR only).

Cost: $5 for OSU students, $15 for family members, OSU community and the general public. This covers equipment rental, safety training, targets, cleaning supplies, and one box (50 rounds) of ammunition.
Due to time limitations for each session, each participant will be limited to the one box of ammunition that is part of the event fee.

When: Fall Family Weekend - Sunday, November 4th (11/4/2018)
Sign-ups are available online or in person at the target range starting at 8:30AM Sunday Nov. 4th. If an earlier session is already full, you may sign up for a later session. NOTE: sessions tend to fill quickly! Each session is limited to 24 participants. Some sharing of firing points can be expected. Pre-registration will be limited to 80% capacity (20 participants per session) for only the 11am and 1pm sessions to allow the opportunity for some first come first serve walk up registration. Each session is 2 hours.
Sunday sessions: 9AM, 11AM, 1PM, 3PM

Please arrive approximately 15 minutes before your registered time slot to check in and read through the training manual. If you are not present at the start of your session, your slot will be given away to another waiting participant.
